The Southern Inyo Fire Protection District is a local government organization that provides fire protection and emergency medical services to seven diverse communities within the south-east corner of Inyo County, California. The fire district encompasses 1,250 square miles and about 100 miles of highway. Currently, the main fire station is located at 410 Tecopa Hot Springs Road. In adition, there is a volunteer crew in Charleston View. The fire district is working to contruct its first permanent fire station, which will be located at 501 Old Furnace Creek Road.
